The Austrian constitutional acts of 1848 and 1849 – the basis for the formation of electoral rights of the Ukrainian population of Eastern Galicia

Abstract
Taking into account the achievements of modern historical and legal science, the main norms of the Austrian constitutional acts of 1848-1849 were analyzed, which enshrined the electoral rights of the population living on Western Ukrainian lands. It was revealed that with the establishment of the constitutional order in the Habsburg monarchy, the legislative designation of the electoral law reflected the interests of the dominant part of society.
