THE BASIC METHOD OF OBTAINING SUBSTITUTED 1,3-DIOXANES

Abstract

The acid-catalyzed interaction of olefins with aldehydes has been studied as one of the main methods for the preparation of substituted 1,3-dioxanes. The main methods of obtaining both thermal heating and microwave irradiation are considered. It is found that during the Prince reaction under microwave heating conditions, the reaction time is significantly shortened, but the composition of the products does not change.
