THE CODEX OF PHILOSOPHY
Journal Title: Δόξα / Докса. Збірник наукових праць з філософії та філології - Year 2015, Vol 2, Issue
Abstract
This text gives valuable information on the singularities of Philosophy: what it must deal with and what principles it must follow. What is Philosophy in private with itself, in front of its own consciousness, in the light of its own conscience? Is it a science or a world view, metaphysics or not-metaphysics, a theory or an activity? Must Philosophy be atheistic or religious? The author scrutinizes the personality of philosopher, the way of philosophical thinking and being. The whole philosophical thought of humanity is interpreted as an endless ribbon of the treatise about the World, God and a man. It is remarkable that Philosophy in Culture and philosopher in life exist on the border, because the comprehension of the World from the inside is not possible. And as the border is the only possible location of Philosophy, it often appears inappropriate, utopical. Philosophy has no roof over its head: on the earth it is impossible, in the sky it is superfluous. And if a man is a homo viator, then Philosophy lives in transition, it is a special tackle on the way, a wayfarer’s stick. The philosophical thinking can be compared to madness, but it is a consciously practiced and controlled madness. The author comes to the conclusion that the essence of Philosophy is inexhaustible and at the same time it is simple and coincides with its name – love to wisdom.
