The article analyzes the work of famous Hungarian artist-realist second half of the nineteenth century Mihaly Munkacsy. Attention is paid to linking Mihaly Munkacsy Transcarpathia. How Transcarpathians remember Mihaly Munkacsy and the role of cultural institutions in preserving memory.
