During then 1920-s, the Ukrainian reader in Galicia received evidence about the most important political events that were connected with the International policy and colonialism. Colonialism basically means taking over a place by force. In the European context, colonialism refers to the process wherein Europeans stay and wield political power over a large part of the world, including parts of Africa and Asia.
