The combined V-F , P-Q and Droop control of PV in microgrid

Abstract

this paper provides the solution for critical problems surrounded in PVmicrogrid in the field of control. The main requirement in operating modes ofPVmicrogrid are voltage and frequency maintained constant and both real and reactive power flow should be balanced and also includes the soft transition between two modes of operation and to avoid transient surge in power system. This paper proposes the control scheme of PVmicrogrid with hierarchical coordination for both grid connected and stand-alone mode of operation. To enhance the system V-F, P-Q, droop controls are provided at control system. The distributed generation can be used as an ancillary service at the required situation. The numerical simulations can be carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system in MATLAB.
