THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF COMPUTATIONAL METHODS FE AND FD ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE MEMBRANE SURFACE STRUCTURE
Journal Title: Structure and Environment - Year 2015, Vol 0, Issue 4
Abstract
The paper contains comparison of FEM and FDM applied in membranes. Innovative element of this calculation method includes replacing a membrane with a framed structure [1]. Sample membranes were tested by two methods, afterwards both results were compared in the state of stress and displacement, which allowed to draw the following conclusions regarding the usage of both methods.

OVERVIEW OF MODERN ANAEROBIC WASTEWATER TREATMENT METHODS
The paper presents an overview of modern anaerobic wastewater treatment technologies. Characterised reactors for anaerobic wastewater treatment include UASB, ABR, AMBR, ASBR, AnMBR and EGSB reactors. Comparison with aero...
CARRYING CAPACITY ASSESSMENT AND STRENGTHENING OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES OPERATING IN CHEMICALLY AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENT
The paper presents a case of an industrial building in the chemical works, in which intensive production processes caused corrosion and weakened structural members. The results of investigations and static strength analy...
THE EIGENVALUE PROBLEM IN THE DYNAMICS OF THE STEEL INDUSTRIAL HALL WITH INTERNAL HANDLING SYSTEM
The paper presents the eigenvalue problem in the dynamics of the steel industrial hall with an internal handling system. The aim of the calculations was to determine the eigenfrequencies and eigenvectors for the structur...
WORKING PARAMETERS OF GAS HEAT PUMP IN USE WITH LOW-POTENTIAL GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
The article presents the operating parameters of the heat pump for gas with low potential geothermal energy. It describes the measurement device and implementations of the experimental measurements resulted in a database...
FATIGUE LIFE COMPARISON OF RECYCLED COLD MIXES WITH DIFERENT TYPE OF BITUMEN BINDER
loading cycles. The possibility of using foamed bitumen and bitumen emulsion as binders in the composition of road bases makes it necessary to identify the influence of the binder type on the service life of these layers...
