THE CONCEPT OF CONFISCATORY SANCTIONS IN CIVIL LAW

Abstract
The author of the article has researched the concept of confiscatory sanctions within civil law. The author has determined the peculiarities of theoretical and legal understanding of the legal nature of such sanctions in civil law and has substantiated the expediency of their existence in the private law. The content of the notion of confiscatory sanctions in civil law has been characterized and their characteristic features have been outlined. Based on the conducted research, the author has formulated own definition of the notion of confiscatory sanctions in civil law as measures of civil and legal impact defined in the law that involve the termination of the right of ownership of the property, which becomes the property of the state on a paid basis or free of charge.
