The concept of improvement of the product quality in the regulations on counteracting unfair market practices

Abstract

The main aim of the paper is to identify the factors improving the quality of products in the Act on counteracting unfair market practices. In the article the impact of the law regulations on the elements of the simple marketing system was examined. Another criterion for the analysis of legal regulations on the prevention of unfair practices was to verify customer orientation and presence of the idea of continuous improvement. The paper also shows the voice of the authors in the discussion on the universal role of quality. It turns out that there is an effect of legal regulations on combating unfair commercial practices as far as the components of the simple marketing system are concerned. These law regulations affect the elements of the marketing system, communication and product the most. The paper shows that the legal regulations on combating unfair commercial practices are consistent with the principles of quality management: customer orientation and continuous quality improvement. In the paper the authors point out that technological progress and the development of buyers’ consciousness require the humans to build utilitarian values. It is believed to be a civilisational challenge.
