THE CONCEPT OF “URBAN AGGLOMERATION”: THE DEVELOPMENT OF IDEAS AND MODERN UNDERSTANDING

Abstract
The essence of the concept of “urban agglomeration” by analyzing various contemporary approaches to its understanding was established in the article. The main criteria of urban agglomeration were considered. The basic features of modern urban agglomeration were found. The differences and similarities in the interpretation of concept of “urban agglomeration” by foreign and Ukrainian researches were analyzed.
