THE CORRELATION BETWEEN ECONOMIC PROFITABILITY AND FINANCIAL PROFITABILITY FOR COMPANIES LISTED AT THE BUCHAREST STOCK EXCHANGE

Abstract
This paper presents aspects about the relationship between financial and economic profitability of 63 companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The aim of the study is to view a general framework for analyzing the correlation of return for a large number of companies. The introduction of the paper states defining elements about the current study in relation to the objective, research methodology and the novelty brought by this objective. The first paragraph contains two subparagraphs in which the various points of view on the concepts of "economic return" and "return on equity" are presented. Further in the work, we presented a case study on the determination of the two returns analyzed in order to establish a correlation. Finally, after collecting all the data presented in the paper, we set the conclusions for each presented paragraph and subparagraph.
