THE CURRENT PRACTICES OF TEACHER EDUCATORS IN CONTENT COURSES IN ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN EDUCATION (ADE) PROGRAM

Abstract

Associate degree in education (ADE) plays vital role in profession development for the prospective teachers as well as teacher’s educators. The major objective of this research study was to check current practices of teacher educators in content course of science subject of ADE program. The population of this research study was the 8 elementary colleges of interior Sindh in which ADE classes are running and 60% sample through convenient random sampling was selected, teacher educators of elementary colleges of Sindh, who teaches in the ADE degree program. Quantitative research methodology was adopted for this study. Effectiveness of the teaching practices was the main factor to analyze; the study was analyzed by taking sum, percentage and mean of items related to research questions. The study illustrated & recommended that the quality of education can be enhanced in the schools through professional administrator or a prospective teacher, the teacher educators improve the teaching and learning process by demonstration method inquiry based methods observational methods in science subject in Associate degree in education (ADE) to manage the teaching & learning process and have higher sense of science subject of teachers and students.
