THE DETERMINANTS OF INTERNATIONAL COMPETIVENESS: THE CASE OF UKRAINIAN AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

Abstract
By using multiple regression, the author of the paper have found out the significant influence of external determinants – the dynamics of exports in the previous period, demand at the international markets – in comparison with the inner ones: the prices of exported raw materials, labor productivity of the agrarian companies from Ukraine. The analysis of the competitiveness determinants at the level of commodity positions has revealed various factors of competitiveness at the international market. The greatest number of factors (four) was found for corn, for rye no variable was found to be significant. Overall, the findings of the paper are in line with the theoretical framework of the international competitiveness and its empirical tests for companies from developed countries.
