The Development of Pop-Up Story Book for Improving Language Ability

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a pop-up story book to improve the language skills of children of Group B kindergarten student. The theme used in this pop-up story book is about the concept of ablution procedure. Pop-up story books have a three-dimensional look and have an appeal that can help to gain kindergarten students’ interest. The research method used is research development with 4-D model, namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate. References used include: printed books, online books, and journals related to the development of pop-up story books. The findings of this study are that the pop-up story book in the form of the concept of wudoo can be used as a medium of learning in improving student's language ability and increase their reading interest.
