The development of the foreign trade of Soviet Russia and Ukraine in the period “war communism”

Abstract
This article analyzes the conditions of the Soviet foreign trade in the period “war communism”. It explains the logic of the communist Russian leadership concerning the establishment of a state monopoly of foreign trade. Highlights features exports and imports Bolshevik state in the context of the end of First World War and the development in Ukraine and Russia revolutionary events. It shows the reaction of leading Western countries to external economic initiatives of the Bolsheviks. We consider the Ukrainian component of the Soviet foreign trade in the specified time. The attention is focused on the factual administrative and state dependence of the Soviet Ukraine from Moscow in the field of foreign economic activity. Features of the Soviet foreign trade are already at the stage of “war communism” period reveal the essence of the dictatorship regime
