THE DIFFERENTIATION OF LOCAL FEES FOR PUBLIC SERVICES ON THE EXAMPLE OF WATER SUPPLY AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL SERVICES

Abstract
The aim of the article was to present and evaluate the variation in the rates of local fees paid by residents of municipalities. The empirical material was the results of own research carried out in 137 communes of the Małopolska province. The results of the research proved that in the years 2011-2017 there was a systematic increase in municipal fees. There was also a large diversity between communes (especially in the field of sewage disposal). The councils of some municipalities wanting to reduce the rates of fees paid by residents apply subsidies to adopted tariffs financed from local budgets.<br/><br/>
