Journal Title: ANUARUL INSTITUTULUI DE CERCETARI SOCIO-UMANE "C.S. NICOLĂESCU-PLOPŞOR" - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue 0

Through this extensive analysis, I aim at establishing the connection between Greek mythology and modern cardiology by exploring the origin of the word echography and its modern counterpart the Doppler echography.
