Abstract
Nowadays, handicrafts can have a significant position among Iran's industrial productions as non-oil products. In addition, the role of handicrafts in creating job opportunities, increasing gross national product and protecting cultural identity has increased the significance of such complementary economic activities day by day. Whereas packaging art and technics are of great importance in today's world, if they could be used successfully in a country's production, they will be considered as the means for transferring its identity and culture, and lead to a growth in national income level and attracting international markets in parallel. What absorbs the consumer's precise and delicate look in the first step is a product's appealing and high-quality packaging. The more function is used, the more consumers will be willing to buy the product. As there are many appropriate and high-quality raw materials in our country, we could associate the products and raw materials with packaging by the purpose of promotion. Since the raw materials used in a package include a special message of the product's identity, quality and price in addition to their significant role in its form and shape, the present paper ottstptet ta integrate these two concepts with the aim of product maintenance (or what is included in the package) and contacting with the consumers in addition to the examination of packaging definitions and concepts in order to present suitable packaging for saffron )one of the raw materials existing in Iran(.
