Participants of the study consisted of 58 counselor trainees, 19 from the first experiment, 19 from the second experiment and 20 from the control group. In the research, a mixed research method was used in which quantitative and qualitative research methods were used together. An open-ended question has been directed to counselor trainees for qualitative data. Quantitative data were obtained with the Oxford Happiness Scale. Quantitative data obtained were analyzed in SPSS 15.00 package program and qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis technique. According to the qualitative findings obtained from the research, the first experiment group felt happy, peaceful, calm, relaxed, cheerful and energetic, as expected at the end of slide and video demonstrations; And the second group experienced negative emotions such as sadness, helplessness, grief and anger. When the contents of the answers given to the open-ended question were analyzed, it was found that counselor trainees in the first experimental group gave longer and more comprehensive responses in terms of the content than the second experimental group and the control group. As a result of the evaluation of the quantitative data, the happiness scores of the participants in the first experiment group increased after the experimental procedure, but the difference was found not to be statistically significant.
