While there were a significant decrease in the scores of BAI and APAIS in the study group compared to control group postintervention. There were significant differences existed between both groups regarding to nausea and vomiting, stability of vital sings, postoperative pain, and postoperative mobility. Conclusion: The planned educational intervention preoperatively diminished preoperative anxiety and leads to better surgical outcome as early recovery, effective pain control and early mobility.
