The Effect Of Some Environmental Factors On Dirty Wool Yield In Dağlıç Sheep

Abstract
This research was carried out on 30 head Dağlıç sheep reared in Afyon province in Turkey. The effects of age and sex on live weight after shearing (LWS) and greasy wool yield (DWY) were investigated. Average greasy wool yield, determination coefficient (R2) and variation coefficient (VC) of greasy wool yield were estimated as 2.053 kg, 0.956 and 6.00 respectively. The effect of age and sex on greasy wool yield were statistically significant (P<0.01). Average live weight, determination coefficient (R2) and variation coefficient (VC) of live weight after shearing were estimated as 54.067 kg, 0.93 and 5.70, respectively. The effect of sex on live weight after shearing was statistically significant (P<0.01). The effect of age on live weight after shearing was not statistically significant (P>0.05).
