The effect of the Creatine monohydrate Supplementation on the Anaerobic Power Among Young Adults
Journal Title: International Journal of Applied Exercise Physiology - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The purpose of this experimental research was examine the creatine monohydrate intervention on the anaerobic power incombined with low intensity resistance exercise among young adults. Forty three inactive students were participated in this study. And there was two independent variable; creatine monohydrate supplement and low intensity resistance exercise. Peak anaerobic power (PAP) was as the dependent variable in this study. Subjects were divided into four groups including control and treatment groups. All the groups were according the block sampling according to the basically information in fitness score to make the equal groups in fitness level. A multivariate repeated measures ANOVA was used to evaluate the effects of creatine in peak anaerobic power (PAP). A significant effect was found for creatine timing effect on the PAP within the groups (PAP: F(1,30)=22.37, p=0.00). And also has been shown a timing effect by the exercise on the peak anaerobic power within the groups (PAP: F(1,30)=4.58, p=0.040). This data show that there is significant difference PAP between treatment and placebo groups (PAP: F (1, 30) =1.49, p=0.23). The result of this investigation suggest the coach and athleths to use the creatine for improve their anaerobic performanc.
