The Effect of Water Salinity on Permeability of Oil Reservoir
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN PHYSICS - Year 0, Vol 11, Issue 3
Abstract
The recovery of oil from clay-sandstone as revealed by past studies can be improved by increasing the concentration of the salinity in the core. This is as a result of the sensitivity of the clay-sandstone to the water salinity. Conversely, there is no established model to predict the permeability of core for a given concentration of brine and the value of concentration for optimum oil recovery. Data from experiment on clay content sandstone from different cores in Berea were analyzed and permeability was found as a function of concentration of brine as From the model for the variation of permeability of natural clay-sandstone as a function of brine concentration, 12179.79 kgm-3 concentration of brine will give equivalent permeability of the natural core filled with air, in comparison with possible maximum permeability of the reservoir for optimum oil recovery.

A Study on Formation of Hammer Transfer Stains in a Crime Scene
It is difficult to interpret hammer transfer strain in a crime scene. This paper lies in the argument that proper analysis of hammer transfer stains in crime scene may indicate the possibilities of proper incidence.
Magnetic Moments of The Baryon Anti-decuplet and Octet Pentaquark States
The magnetic moments of the baryon anti-decuplet and octet-pentaquark states have been estimated in the framework of diquark-diquark-antiquark configuration using the composite fermion (CF) model of diquark suggested by...
RADIOACTIVE EVENT BIFURCATION - AN EXAMPLE OF DISTRIBUTION
The present text contains a proposal to analyze the behavior of a beam of particles that, due to some physical mechanism, is divided into two. For the purpose of clarification, we emphasize that the term to be used to de...
A non-abelian model SU(N) x SU(N)
A composite non-abelian model SU(N) x SU(N) is proposed as possible extension of the Yang-Mills symmetry. We obtain the corresponding gauge symmetry of the model and the most general lagrangian invariant by SU(N) x SU(N)...
TRAPPING CAPABILITY OF MICROLENS 2D ARRAY BY ACOUSTIC MODULATION
In this article, the microlens 2D array created in acoustic-optical medium by the ultrasonic wave modulation is proposed. The expression described the refractive index induced by cross-interference of two perpendicular u...
