The effects of shift work on health

Abstract
Work is for man a source of benefits, both physical and social. But it may have also detrimental and even harmful effects on health and wellbeing. There are more harmful factors in shift work than day work. Different from normal work schedule affects such aspects of the employee, as a dream, nutrition, digestive system, nervous system and general well-being, physical condition and the menstrual cycle in women. Negative effects on shift workers’ health worsened with increasing duration of employment.
