The efficacy of seed treatment fungicides against seedling blight and snow mold on winter wheat

Abstract
The efficiency of seed treatment fungicide on winter wheat was evaluated at the Institute of Agriculture in the Lithu-anian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry in 2013–2015. Meteorological conditions at sowing, emergence and early crop development had a major influence on seedling blight infection in winter wheat. The seedling blight severity index of winter wheat treated by seed treatment fungicides at the 2-leaf stage (BBCH 12) was reduced and the test pro-duct efficacy ranged from 27.3 to 85.3% in 2013, from 13.6 to 39.3% in 2014, and from 33.3 to 78.0% in 2015. The seedling blight intensity in early spring was high and in 2014 amount-ed to 58.89%. In 2015 it was 45.00%, and 50.38% in 2016. Chambel 6 FS and Maxim 025 FS gave better efficacy against seedling blight compared to other test seed treatment fungi-cides. Snow mold damaged winter wheat leaves in the early spring of 2015 and 2016, but the incidence of the disease on leaves did not exceed 30%, and the severity was 0.48%.
