THE ESSENCE OF "BANKING SERVICE" CONCEPT AND BASIC APPROACHES TO ITS DETERMINATION

Abstract
The article reviews and analyzes the main approaches of both foreign and domestic authors to the definition of "banking service" because the scientific literature contains no clear definition of this concept. The contradictions concerning the definition of the term "banking service", one of the basic concepts, which banks operate in their work have been studied. Theoretical provisions for determining the nature and the notion of banking services have been generalized and on the basis of these approaches the major defining features that are inherent in this concept have been identified. The results of this research can be used in the future to clarify this notion fundamental for banking.
