THE FAMINE (HOLODOMOR) IN BALTA DISTRICT OF ODES’KA PROVINCE IN 1921-1923

Abstract
The author studies the terror famine made by the bolshevist regime in Balta district of Odes’ka province in 1921-1923. The article also reveals and analyses the authorities’ means to take the harvest away from the peasants, the crush of churches, the population rebellion and the rebel movement, the regime migration policy, the activities of the international humanitarian organizations in the district.
