The idea of humanism in the criminal law of Ukraine

Abstract
The article is devoted to the idea of humanism in criminal law. It raises the problems of rethinking the semantic content of the principle of humanism, taking into account the needs of modern society. It is proposed to put in the basis of understanding of the principle of humanism the idea of respect and mutual responsibility of the individual, society, state. It is formulated the concept of the principle of humanism, which could be fixed in the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
