The impact of culture system and fertilization type on yield and fruit quality of greenhouse tomatoes.

Abstract

This paper presents the results of research regarding the influence of some technological inputs on greenhouse tomatoes yield and fruit quality. In order to establish how the fertilization and system of culture can influence the greenhouse tomatoes yield and quality, two systems of culture (in soil and in organic substrate) and different types of fertilization (basic and additional) were analyzed. Maximum early and total yields were obtained in case of organic substrate culture. Vitamin C, acidity and total sugar content of fruit increased with radicular+foliar additional fertilization. None of the nitrate values over passed the accepted limits of permission for greenhouse tomatoes.
