THE IMPACT OF SELECTED LUBRICANTS ON FRETTING WEAR DEVELOPMENT IN A FRICTION PAR AXLE–SLEEVE

Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2012, Vol 245, Issue 5

Abstract

Complex physicochemical phenomena occurring at the interface between associated surfaces and the impact of a large number of factors makes the development of fretting wear mechanism difficult to describe and it has not received a clear definition in publications. The paper presents the results of model tests related to the evaluation of selected lubricants related to their impact on the initiation and intensity fretting wear development in a friction par axle-sleeve.
