Journal Title: Annals of WULS, Forestry and Wood Technology; Zeszyty naukowe SGGW - Year 2016, Vol 95, Issue 1
Abstract
Life Cycle Assessment and production management in wood industry. The influence of the technological processes and its structure to the environmental sphere is presented, as well as the importance of ecological balance in the shaping and control of features of the quality of processes and products, production management, have been highlighted. The consumers’ attitudes according to ecologic features of the products were characterized, and their influence on the designer and manufacturer. The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is the most popular method among many production management tools and production in the light of environmental protection. This technique has been strongly linked with the guidelines described in ISO standards series 14000. The use of LCA in the evaluation of technology or management systems utilization, also in wood technology, is needed to determine the real impact of them on the environment. Keywords:
