Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 10
Abstract
Uzbekistan's tourism and hospitality sector has grown significantly due to a combination of government reforms, investments in infrastructure, and higher education initiatives aimed at producing a skilled workforce. This paper examines how Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions contribute to the tourism industry through curriculum modernization, practical training, and research, alongside government-led legislative frameworks. Recent trends, including a 16.7% increase in tourist arrivals, have heightened the demand for skilled personnel. This article also references the UNWTO General Assembly vision for the future of global tourism, focusing on Uzbekistan’s efforts to align with these international trends.
