The Influence of Linear Dissipation in the Hunting Motion Stability of Wheel Set with Elastic Joints System
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2010, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
The hunting motions it’s a lateral movement of the railway vehicles is a consequence of the reversed conic shape of the rolling surfaces. The stability is an important dynamic problem for vehicle system that determines the maximum operating speed of railway vehicle. To increase the stability performances of the wheel set it can be used elastic joints and linear dissipation devices, to bogies. Depends to the horizontal dissipation forces, the critical speed can be increased but the lateral forces can grow a lot and goes to derailment. In this paper is studied the influence of the linear dissipation into the hunting motion stability for a wheelset with elastic joints.

The Linear Viscoelastic Behavior of the Asphalt Mixture to the Haversine Impulsive Dynamic Actions Specific in Road Traffic
In this work is analyzed the behavior of the asphalt mixture under the action of dynamic traffic, and the contact between wheel and track is modeled as a dynamic excitation function of haversine type.
Numerical Study of the Vibrations with Collisions of a System with Nonlinear Cubic Stiffness, Dry Friction and Harmonic Excitation
In this paper we consider a non-linear single degree of freedom system with dry friction consisting in a mass that oscillates between two fixed barriers. Our study is a numerical one and we determine the influences of di...
THE REDUCTION OF NOISE AND VIBRATION CAUSED BY EQUIPMENT FROM BUILDINGS
Many times, in everyday life, we encounter a variety of problems arising from the inadequate functioning of equipment from civil and industrial constructions. Among the existing equipment in the construction of the buil...
Vibrations of the Rigid Solid with a Point Constrained to Move on a Mobile Curve
This paper makes a numerical study for the vibrations of a physical pendulum for which the suspension point is constrained to move on a mobile curve. The matrix equation of motion is presented and the study is performed...
Assessment of Dissipated Energy to Harmonic Cycles of Displacement for Visco-Elastic Elastomeric Anti-Seismic Insulators
The paper presents some results of the research carried out to highlight the dissipation capacity of the elastomeric systems to harmonic deformations due to the kinematic excitations of the exterior harmonic displacement...
