Journal Title: VUZF - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper presents the main findings of a long-term foresight study that took place simultaneously in EU and China, aiming to produce scenarios for the Chinese innovation environment in 2030. A combination of foresight methodologies such us desk-study analysis, Delphi, media scanning, interviews, exploratory workshops, and patent/paper analysis, was used to understand the innovation system, and to identify critical drivers, trends, and uncertainties and draw plausible scenarios for China towards 2030. The research took place in the context of the Dragon-Star Plus, funded by the European Commission.
