The investigation and analysis of thermal environment and energy consumption in rural residence of Hunan in winter

Abstract
The development of the rural residence is accelerated by the new countryside-construction. At the same time, with the increase of rural residence, the rural residential energy consumption is also increasing. So the energy saving of rural residence is an important part of building energy efficiency in our country. In this paper, the temperature inside and outside and energy consumption in winter are investigated and tested in rural residence of Yueyang, Hunan. Some factors that influence thermal environment and energy consumption are concluded, such as building construction, the demand of people’s thermal comfort, the economy status of household, people's living habits and local climate characteristics.
