The Issues and Prospects for the Innovative Development of Domestic Service-Oriented Companies

Abstract
The article aims to identify the current issues and obstacles interfering with the innovative development of service-oriented companies and to substantiate proposed practical solutions to these issues in the present-day turbulent environment. The article analyzes trends in the volumes of services provided in Ukraine, investment trends in the country’s transportation service industry, the volume of transportation services exported by domestic enterprises within the time frame of 2009-2013. The article also investigates the innovative activity level of Ukrainian transportation enterprises on the basis of analysis of the volume of research and development projects in the transportation sector and investment trends in the Ukrainian transportation service industry. The work identifies the issues arising in the innovative development of the transportation industry and outlines the methods of solving them.
