The Issues of Educational Quality in Brazilian Law (1988-2016)

Abstract
The present work makes a discussion about the concepts of Quality, more specifically, Educational Quality present in the Constituição Federal de 1988 (CF/88), the Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional, (Lei 9.394/96 (LDB) and the legal scope from these important sources of educational law. It was possible throughout this study to detect several inconsistencies, be it at the juridical-political level or at the conceptual level, pointing to an apparent lack of definition about the notion of quality, which has underlying, a reference that is far from that recommended in Law.
