The Law and Order Situation and Its Impact on Foreign Direct Investment in Pakistan

Abstract
Through controlling of law & order situation, the Government can increase the FDI, Develop better infrastructure, enhance the lifestyle of citizens, betterment in economic indicators, and even enhance the economic revival of the country. Various case studies and researches have been carried out for determination of the factors that affects the economic development and law and order situation at government and nongovernment levels; we find a number of discussions to the literature in this context. In Pakistan, these types of studies comprises of the leading factors like history and causes of bad law and order situation from the creation of Pakistan, measurement of results (especially losses of human being, infrastructure, and foreign direct investment). Since the inception of Pakistan, numerous judicial and other institutions have been created and established by the government of Pakistan to regulate and control law and order situation in Pakistan. The rationale of this research is to emphasize the impact of law & order condition on the investment (FDI) in Pakistan. This study focuses on the impact of existing law and order situation on the investment in Pakistan and further emphasize on the investment opportunities provided the existing law and order situation is improved to a considerable level and changed it into a good one.
