THE MEAN LIGHT CURVES OF THE MIRA-TYPE STARS IN THE H- AND K-BANDS
Journal Title: Odessa Astronomical Publications - Year 2016, Vol 29, Issue
Abstract
For nine Mira-type stars (o Cet, R Leo, S Car, U Her, X Oph, R Aql, RR Aql, S Ori, S Scl,) and one semi-regular star (L2 Pup), the mean light curves have been obtained. The initial values of the brightness (observations) were fitted by a trigonometric polynomial of the statistically optimal order. The Fourier coefficients and the additional parameters (degree of the trigonometric polynomial, amplitude of the brightness, the maximal slope of ascending and descending branch, semi-amplitudes and initial epochs for the brightness maximum (minimum magnitude) of each harmonic contribution, etc., were given in the tables reported earlier by Kudashkina (2016). In this study, we have received several interesting correlations between these parameters in the bands H and K. It was particularly noted the anomalous position on the figures of the star X Oph. The mean light curves of the investigated stars are commonly symmetric in the near infrared region (H and K).

A SURVEY OF SEVERAL SPECTRAL LINES IN THE SPECTRA OF THE SUPERGIANT HD 14143
Variations in the Ha, Hb, HeI, CII, SiIII, Al III, FeIII, NII, and OII lines in the spectrum of the star HD 14143 are investigated using observations carried out in 2013 with the 2-m telescope at the Shamakhy Astrophysic...
THE SIMULATION OF THE ORBITAL EVOLUTION OF A PASSIVE HIGH-ORBIT FRAGMENT WITH LARGE SURFACE AREA
The numerical integration of the motion equations of a passive high-orbit fragment with large surface area was performed accounting for the main gravitational perturbations of the Earth, Moon and Sun, as well as the sola...
LIGHT CURVE TYPES OF CLASSIC T TAURI STARS
By using the archive photometric data’s obtained for a long time intervals we have carried out a master light curves of 28 classical T Tauri type stars. For the physical character of variability mainly 5 type light curve...
Hα LINE AS AN INDICATOR OF ENVELOPE PRESENCE AROUND THE CEPHEID POLARIS Aa (α UM i)
We present the results of the radial velocity (RV ) measurements of metallic lines as well as Hα (Hβ ) obtained in 55 high-resolution spectra of the Cepheid α UMi (Polaris Aa) in 1994–2010. While the RV amplitudes of the...
PROGNOSES AND ANOMALY OF 24TH CYCLE OF SOLAR ACTIVITY
Development of solar activity in 24th cycle has specific peculiarity – non-monotonous increasing of solar activity on grown phase which occurs for 1/3 number of all cycles. The modification of Waldmayer’s method was app...
