Abstract
After a serious illness on 84-m to year in Moscow passed away Alexey Vladimirovich Yablokov is a prominent scientist, biologist, environmentalist, public and politician figure, doctor of biological Sciences, Professor, member-correspondent of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Author and co-author of over 500 publications, including 26 monographs and textbooks. His main scientific works are devoted to the theory of evolution and ecology, preservation of the Earth’s biosphere, the study of environmental risks, the effects of environmental pollution, including the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster (1986), on the life and health of people, biodiversity and resilience of ecological systems
