THE MODERN MODEL OF MONITORING THE INTEGRATED REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Abstract
The article considers the model of European regional policy aimed to stimulate investment in economic development of individual regions and the sector. The mechanism of evaluation and monitoring of regional development in the European Union (EU) promotes the formation of additional competitive advantages in the poorest regions and create the preconditions for their catch-up growth in developed areas is grounded. There is a growing interest on the part of Ukraine in the exchange of experience and information on regional development, particularly in the context of the process of reforming the country's economy.
