The modern university as a competitive enterprise

Abstract
In the article, the approach to consideration of modern Ukrainian higher educational institutions (HIGH SCHOOL) in the form of system open organizations, which can be attributed to enterprises of production type. The main task of the enterprises of this destination is the production of competitive specialists, according to the needs global labor market. When considering the effectiveness of the universities should be applied such fundamental and practical approaches to business administration, as management and marketing. Authors suggested applying linear regression models for determining the academic value-added of educational institutions with adaptation, choice of control parameters and variables to the state of the higher education system in Ukraine. To determine the competitiveness of universities, it is advisable to use an integrated approach combining the assessment of internal and external quality of higher education and the academic valueadded.
