Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the publication «Best Countries 2018. Global rankings, international news and data insights» - definition assumptions, methodology and the final results of the research, which are the lists of countries in nine categories, ultimately forming the ranking of the best countries in the world. The cited report presents ways of perceiving nations by other nations, which is helpful for corporate managers, decision-makers, as well as citizens themselves. It is based on the assumption that global perception defines countries in terms of a number of expressions that may affect the direction of trade policy, tourism, investment, as well as generally national economies. Ranking „Best Countries 2018” analyses the potential of a total of 80 countries representing about 95% of the global gross domestic product and representation of over 80% of the world’s population.
