The Naşa intrusion (Western Anatolia) and its tectonic implication: A joint analyses of gravity and earthquake catalog data
Journal Title: Bulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration - Year 2018, Vol 156, Issue
Abstract
The gravity data gathered in and around the Simav Graben in Western Anatolia were reprocessed and reinterpreted by using the standard deviation fi lter and the Euler deconvolution. The joint evaluation of results from the interpretation of gravity data and seismological studies indicates the presence of new intrusive structures in the vicinity of Simav. The intrusion is located in the eastern margin of the graben and has a thickness of 12-15 km at 2.5-3 km depth below the surface. Numerous earthquakes recorded in the eastern part of the graben are associated with this intrusion. Besides, the multidimensional modelling study of the gravity data allowed us to display the Simav Graben, the fold of the Simav Fault, the intrusion named as Naşa, and the epicenters of earthquake within the same tectonic frame. All tectonic structures were marked on the three dimensional relief model.

The Kocadal base and precious metal mineralizations are located in the southwest of Gümüşhane province of the eastern Pontide orogenic belt. In the vicinity of the Kocadal mineralization, Gümüşhane granite, lithologies o...
DEPOSITIONAL ENVIRONMENT AND ORGANIC GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF LOWER EOCENE BITUMINOUS ROCKS, IN THE KÜRNÜÇ/GÖYNÜK-BOLU AREA
In this study, dark gray and dark brown colored, organic-carbon rich bituminous rocks (bituminous marl and bituminous shale) exposing around the Kürnüç area (Göynük, Bolu) are investigated by means of organic geochemical...
A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF INDEX OVERLAY AND TOPSIS (BASED ON AHP WEIGHT) FOR IRON SKARN MINERAL PROSPECTIVITY MAPPING, A CASE STUDY IN SARVIAN AREA, MARKAZI PROVINCE, IRAN
The aim of this research is to compare index overlay and TOPSIS (based on AHP weight) for predictive Skarn potential map. In this paper, for Calcic Iron Skarn mineralization, criteria and subcriteria introduced and ranke...
RESPONSE TO THE “REACTION OF THE PHYSICAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE GRAVITY DATA AND LINEARITY DILEMMA”
There is not any filter such as the “apparent gravity linear filter”, which is mentioned by the criticizer, in the literature of geophysical potential methods. The “apparent density filter” was used in the study. As the n...
An ore adit planning with the help of three dimensional ore body modeling: A case study from Çulfa Çukuru Pb-Zn-Cu-Ag deposit
Çulfa Çukuru Pb-Zn-Cu-Ag mineralization has occurred along the metamorphic and metamorphicdacitic volcanic rock contacts of the Sakarya zone on the Biga Peninsula. The base metal mineralizations (Pb-Zn-Cu-Ag±Au) develope...
