The nature and environmental impact of PCBs

Abstract
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are a class of important environmental persistent pollutants. In this paper, octanol - water partition coefficient and water solubility of 37 kinds of PCBs based on both theoretical estimation and experimental measurement were listed, and the physical/chemical properties and the environmental impacts of PCBs were preliminarily discussed.
