THE NEW US IMPERIALISM

Journal Title: The Journal of International Social Research - Year 2015, Vol 8, Issue 38

Abstract

This paper will examine the promoted by the US imperial policies and illustrate the changes in US foreign policy since the end of the East - West conflict. The US is the epitome of freedom, progress and democracy. The political system relies on cooperation. The economic system combines free trade with market economy. The US also are suspected with securing their power dominance with a highly militarized foreign policy, politically, economically and militarily to integrate all countries in the world capitalist system and to subordinate the interest-guided US foreign policy. It is clear that military interventions and military violence are directed specifically against the countries of the global South and the US, as the most upgraded military power, represent the new style prototype of an imperialist aggressor.
