Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2025, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
This article examines the phenomenon of sign gradation within the context of English and Uzbek literary texts, analyzing how this linguistic and semiotic process enhances the depth and complexity of meaning in literature. By employing a range of literary examples, this study highlights the various forms of sign gradation, including denotative and connotative meanings, metaphorical applications, and structural organization in texts. The research underscores the significance of context and reader interpretation in understanding the nuances of sign gradation in literary works.
