The Peculiarities of Implementing Contemporary Audiovisual Technologies by Future Foreign Language Teachers in Their Professional Activity (Based on the French Language Materials).

Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of implementing contemporary audiovisual technologies by future foreign language teachers in their professional activity. The following topic touches upon the importance of video materials in the foreign language teaching. The aim of the article is to substantiate the practical aspects of using audiovisual technologies and to demonstrate the use of video materials in the foreign language teaching process. In the course of the research the advantages and disadvantages of implementing the online multimedia platform were analyzed and proved to be highly efficient in the foreign language teaching. TV5MONDE is the most successful online francophone resource and is considered to be an online multimedia platform with a range of authentic news interviews and educational videos aimed to develop foreign communicative skills. The audiovisual technologies are regarded as a special tool of a foreign language teacher to be able to adapt various methods and techniques in teaching a foreign language to students of different age and level of foreign language comprehension. The research is updated as it concerns the current problems of pedagogical science which remain unchanged. The number of creative tasks and significant methodological issues and the algorithm of using the authentic video materials were suggested to put into practice of foreign language learning in order to optimize the studying process and to improve the communicative skills of the learner.
