THE PECULIARITIES OF THE VERBALIZATION OF EMOTIONS BY MEANS OF SOMATIC PHRASEOLOGISMS (IN TERMS OF JOANNE KATHLEEN ROWLING WORKS)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the characteristic features of verbalizing emotions by means of phraseological units with body part components. Their role in Joanne Kathleen Rowling’s writing style has been analysed. The author shows how ideographic, communicative and pragmatic functions of the examined phraseologisms are realised in the works by the British writer. The key role of phraseological units in the verbalization of characters’ emotions in the works about Harry Potter has been demonstrated. The author emphasizes the significance of emotive phraseological units for creating a complete psychological portrait of J. K. Rowling’s characters.
