The physical activity and the sense of the coherence

Abstract

The aim of the research: The aim of the undertaken research was to describe the relations between the fitness tested according to the Health Related Fitness (HRF) and sense of the coherence.Methods: The group of the 191 students of the Swietokrzyski University was tested. The main instruments of the research were: A. Antonowsky's SOC - 29 test and the anthropometric measurements of the basic somatic features and the motor skills tests. All thepresented results were statistically estimated. T° Student, C° Cochran-Cox, F°-Snedecor, Pearson's correlation and the canonic analysis were used.The results: The research showed the fact that people who are systematically motor active, having higher motor skill value are strongly characterized the higher coherence level. The strongest relation between the senseof the coherence and the efficiency and BMI index were observed. The results which were presented could not be the subject of the further generalization.
